On 15 November 2008 my girlfriend fiancée and I went to New York City for 7 days in what turned out to be our most second most amazing holiday ever. I took the photographs (of which there were thousands) and she kept the diary. We managed to cram a ridiculous amount into the short time we had there but what a fantastic time it was. Answer: Patience. Oh, and gloves too! So today I intended to go out for a quick wander around Hollyrood Park and the Royal Mile (which are both near where I live in Edinburgh) this afternoon and then grab a sandwich. Naturally I took my camera with me, but I wasn’t planning on staying out for long (I was hungry!). I forgot quite how early the sun goes down at this time of year and soon found myself standing on North Bridge looking at the beginning of a beautiful sunset…
